Parisian Vibes

You can't visit Paris without getting some pictures of the Eiffel Tower! I absolutely adored wandering around Paris and stopping in little cafes for coffee, croissants, hot chocolate and macarons :)

Whilst I never went up the Eiffel Tower itself I enjoyed wandering around to try and find the best image I could capture of this iconic landmark. I was extremely lucky to get such a blue sky and sunny day in February!

I enjoyed Paris more than I was expecting to as I think for me it had been slightly over-hyped by people and I then felt slightly underwhelmed. All in all it was still a lovely city break away :) I mean who doesn't love eating pastries and macarons!

One of the highlights of the trip for me was visiting the Louvre. I had been wanting to visit the Louvre for many years and finally being able to wander the exhibitions was one thing ticked off my bucket list (although my bucket list does keep growing...)

As much I wanted to see the Mona Lisa, it wasn't the be all and end all of the trip to the Louvre for me. The queues surrounding the painting were huge and the painting itself is almost like a postage stamp in comparison to some of the amazing paintings within the Louvre's walls.

The image quality on the Mona Lisa is bad as I had to zoom in to avoid heads being in the image. It's

not a photo I am proud of, but I can't discuss the Mona Lisa without providing the image to go with it.

There are many other exhibitions and paintings that are amazing to see!

I wish I had managed to visit the Moulin Rouge whilst in Paris as this was also on my bucket list. Unfortunately I ran out of time... it does mean I'll just have to go back and sample some more macarons! (Yes I absolutely adore macarons!)

I enjoyed seeing the Notre Dame...however, the experience was ruined slightly as we were targeted for pick-pocketing. Thankfully we had jackets with lots of inside zips and as such they were unable to get anything as we didn't have anything in our outer pockets. I would suggest staying vigilant around any tourist areas though after encountering this. They weren't even subtle either... I saw one of them walk up to someone and put their hand on the gentleman's chest whilst unzipping his coat pocket.

Do not let things like that put you off travelling and visiting places on your bucket lists though. It could happen right here in the UK let alone in another country.

All in all I enjoyed visiting Paris and would gladly return to see some of the things I never got chance to see.

Tell me about your favourite places in Paris and maybe I'll visit them next time I go!
